Drawings to Mountains
A downloadable project for Windows
Draw a shape to generate mountains!
Drawings to Mountains is a project I have been intermittently working on for a couple months now, inspired by the field of topology.
Drawings to Mountains uses a simple algorithm using the distances between points in a drawing to create various heightmaps. The algorithm was originally designed for closed loops, but my implementation works with any drawing. By drawing, you should be able to create some interesting terrain heightmaps.
Try it out and draw something cool!
